Visit Denver Shoot

A little while back I did a shoot for Visit Denver, the official Denver Tourism Board, through Karsh Hagan in Denver. In one week, we captured images of tons of hot spots all over Denver. Images were to be used in ads and on their website.

The Collective Quarterly Workshop - Montana

There's a freedom of spirit that runs wild in Montana...and in the Paradise Valley south of Bozeman, that freedom is palpable.  The valley runs long and narrow, lined by sweeping mountains and capped by the Big Sky, one that seems to go on forever.  Recently I was one of 45 selected photographers to attend a photography workshop put on by The Collective Quarterly, a beautiful and inspiring magazine about discovery; it was fitting we met in Montana. Top industry professionals from Time Magazine, Patagonia, and more, shared their insight, knowledge and experience in the industry during our week together. They reviewed all 45 of our portfolios, one-on-one, providing guidance and inspiration for us on our creative paths. It was a truly magical week, one that left me with some serious nostalgia for Montana, and with new ways of seeing. So grateful for all the amazing beings I met there and whom inspired me on this journey.

'Intertwined' with Julia Vandenoever

As part of Boulder Arts Week, Julia Vandenoever and I collaborated for the third year in a row to create a new body of work together. Fully conceptualized, shot, edited, printed, framed and hung together, we were happy to show 'Intertwined' at Wonder, a fresh-pressed juice bar in Boulder, Colorado through the month of May. Inspired by our love of food, nature, and simplicity, we explored the interconnectedness of life through color, form, and light.

5280 Home Tearsheets - Spring 2015

The Spring 2015 of 5280 Home is out on newsstands now!  Got featured on the Contributors page about a story I shot on a courtyard dinner party set-up, as well as shot some fun shops in the Cherry Creek area of Denver! (cover photo not mine...but just to show the issue).  Love being involved with this great publication!

CAKE&WHISKEY Magazine Tearsheets

Recently I did an assignment for an awesome magazine called CAKE&WHISKEY.  I photographed a controversial woman who is stirring the pot in the world of cannabis, Jane West.  She is a fierce entrepreneur, mom, and wife, with a passion for making cannabis the norm.

Doug Masiuk for Narratively

I was up in Vail and Breckenridge recently shooting for Epic Life Magazine, and I got contacted by the photo editor of Narratively, an online platform devoted to untold human stories, to do a shoot that week in Frisco (right next to Breckenridge).  The story was to be of a man, Doug Masiuk, who turned his life around from alcoholism and unmanaged diabetes to running across the United States and educating children about the disease.  I was excited to do the shoot, if I was able to arrange to do it while I was up in the mountains (note: I was set to leave that day).  Sure enough, I got in touch with Doug literally a minute later, and was running around the trails of Frisco and in coffee shops later that day with him!  SO grateful to him for making it work, and for sharing his story – a true inspiration.  Read more about Doug's story, and see why!
